The 100% owned Duke Island Copper-Nickel-PGE Project consists of 31 claims located in the Alexander Platinum Belt of SE Alaska, 50 miles south of the city of Ketchikan.
Duke Island Highlights
- Abundance of CU, NI, & PGE sulphide mineralization unlike any known Ural-Alaska complex
- Cu, Ni, and Fe are significantly elevated relative to most Ural-Alaska complexes
- Surface rock samples with up to 1.95% Cu, 0.25% Ni, and 1 gpt combined PGEs in mafic/ultramafic host rocks
- Past drilling has encountered up to 387 feet of disseminated and semi-massive sulphide mineralization with copper and nickel grades
- Conductivity highs occur in relation to large ultramafic bodies with four areas of outcropping sulphides
- Each of the areas have potential to host several large zones of Cu and Ni enrichment at depth
- Only the Marquis target has been tested – partially – by drilling
- Airborne TDEM and surface NSAMT have given the Marquis target a new perspective for mineralization
- Past drilling was not deep enough to test the potentially Cu-Ni-PGE enriched magmatic sulphide along the bsal contact or within a feeder zone
- Each of the areas have potential to host several large zones of Cu and Ni enrichment at depth
- A thick interval of semi-massive (15-25%) net textured magmatic sulphide intercepted by drilling appears as only a moderate conductive anomaly
Airborne and surface geophysical surveys indicate a possible feeder dike at depth which has not yet been penetrated
